Chat between me and Raquel

Miller, Raquel [3:12 PM]:
i hate being a chick
8o|
Gohn, Amber [3:12 PM]:
Agreed
Miller, Raquel [3:13 PM]:
why today
Gohn, Amber [3:16 PM]:
Dunno
I'm getting crampy too.
I swear to god, if I get mine tomorrow when I leave for NY
Miller, Raquel [3:17 PM]:
well i have had mine for 4 days
and today, at work mind you, i leak and my pants are ruined
Gohn, Amber [3:17 PM]:
I hate that
Miller, Raquel [3:17 PM]:
yeah. and i dont normally have that.
its like once in the blue moon
Gohn, Amber [3:18 PM]:
If you really think about it, there's no reason for girls to have to bleed for days on end.
Not medically at least.
And certainly not evolutionarily.
Miller, Raquel [3:19 PM]:
well not bleed. but the egg has to go somewhere or they would just stay in our systems and then we would have 100lets
Gohn, Amber [3:19 PM]:
But why is it a slow process?
Miller, Raquel [3:20 PM]:
i dont know
Gohn, Amber [3:20 PM]:
Why, like taking a poop, can't a chick just sit down once a month and drop a red snake?
Miller, Raquel [3:20 PM]:
lol
that would be nice only one day tho
but think if all of the days were in one tho
that would suck
but I think the shortest mine ever was 2 days
Gohn, Amber [3:20 PM]:
Not really... If you could 'hold it', you could go to the bathroom and just let loose.
Miller, Raquel [3:21 PM]:
true. but i mean the pain and the flow
you wouldnt be able to go anywhere for a whole day
lol
Gohn, Amber [3:21 PM]:
You wouldn't have to worry about the pain. If you could control it like your bladder, it wouldn't hurt to 'release' as it were.
Miller, Raquel [3:22 PM]:
true. that would be awesome
Gohn, Amber [3:22 PM]:
And you'd still wear a pad in case you leaked, but it'd be just like going to the bathroom to piddle
Miller, Raquel [3:22 PM]:
why do we have to go thru it all
it sucks
....
one good thing i havve to say for it tho.
is that it cleans our system out, and removes old tissue
wow we get on this topic alot
Gohn, Amber [3:23 PM]:
It's a terrible evolutionary trait. What part about leaving a trail of blood everywhere you go for a week is acceptable to the darwinian theory?! Lions don't bleed once a month, neither do giraffes or any other mammal.
Could have something to do with overpopulation.... Hm.
Miller, Raquel [3:24 PM]:
yeah maybe that
i do know that one breeder that I knew had some females have it. they would wear diapers
lol they looks so cute.
puppies in diapers
Gohn, Amber [3:25 PM]:
I can't see a situation where humans evolved to bleed once a month and THAT trait made them survive more often than the competition
Miller, Raquel [3:25 PM]:
well, when your body loose blood and gets used to it.
Gohn, Amber [3:26 PM]:
I'm talking about the beginning though
Miller, Raquel [3:26 PM]:
the body realizes that it is able to loose blood and survive
rather than when we get pricked with a needle we collapse
Gohn, Amber [3:27 PM]:
Say you have a female who never gets a period. This is way back in cave man times... She eats less because she never has to shed that blood once a month. So she saves energy hunting and gathering and has more time to tend to her children. Those children grow healthy.
Say you have a girl with the bleeds. She needs to eat more and therefore expend more energy to take care of herself, and therefore has less for her young
NOT A GOOD EVOLUTIONARY TRAIT
Miller, Raquel [3:28 PM]:
true. the only reason behind it i see is that it cleans our system naturally
Gohn, Amber [3:28 PM]:
At what expense though?
Miller, Raquel [3:28 PM]:
yeah
Gohn, Amber [3:28 PM]:
Urine is perfectly sterile while it's in your system. why aren't our tubes wired so that urine cleans our systems naturally?
Miller, Raquel [3:29 PM]:
hmmm
Gohn, Amber [3:29 PM]:
I would LOVE to sit down with Richard Dawkins for hours and talk about this topic.
Miller, Raquel [3:29 PM]:
all our body would need to do is to block the eggs from the urine
Gohn, Amber [3:29 PM]:
My only theory is that periods started to show when females began to reproduce less.
And we just haven't had a new evolutionary trait that tells our bodies not to bother having periods unless we wish to reproduce right away.
Hence, overpopulation, the lack of need to sustain population by reproduction, caused periods.
Miller, Raquel [3:31 PM]:
lol
wow, but i can see truth in it
Gohn, Amber [3:32 PM]:
It makes sense, no? :P
Miller, Raquel [3:32 PM]:
yeah. but I know some people that are still saintly and virgins and have yet to get their period
Gohn, Amber [3:33 PM]:
This isn't individualistic.
Miller, Raquel [3:33 PM]:
damn, I wish I didnt get mine yet.
yeah I know
Gohn, Amber [3:33 PM]:
I'm talking humans as a species.
Miller, Raquel [3:33 PM]:
i just think it sucks that some people get theirs way earlier than others
Gohn, Amber [3:33 PM]:
I'll chalk that up to the biological randomness theory.
AKA "biological clocks"
Miller, Raquel [3:34 PM]:
yeah.
plus i feel bad for the women that still have it when they are way older
Gohn, Amber [3:35 PM]:
Now, in aging, I can see that as an evolutionary trait that would be successful.
It's a way for males to determine if the female can still reproduce
Miller, Raquel [3:36 PM]:
yeah, that makes sense
Gohn, Amber [3:37 PM]:
Still. Males make sperm by the million by batting an eyelash. Wasting some of the little buggers on a few fruitless snogs can't have been that important...
No matter how hard I try, i can't really justify women having periods.
